The Oakridge Aeros Major Novice team places 2nd in the Bob Stark Novice Hockey Tournament.
After a disappointing loss to the Stratford Warriors on Friday night, the team produced victories over both the Burlington Bulldogs and Waterloo Ice Wolves on Saturday. An excited Major Novice team easily defeated the Kitcheners Rangers in the Semi-Finals and moved on to again face the Stratford Warriors in the finals. Although the Aeros outplayed and had numerous more scoring chances than the Warriors, the goaltending for the Warriors was just too strong to capture the victory. The Aeros lost in the finals 2-1.
Many thanks to coaches Darren Langhorn, Brian Tisdelle, Dave Pare, Scott McAlpine and Brian Dobbin.
Team members are:
Goalies - Andrew and Jeremy.
Forwards – Wes, Garrett, Tyler, Jordan, Ezra, Keegan, Spencer, Aidan, and Tristan.
Defense – Tye, Taylor, Dillon, and Aaron.
